Sleep Aid Medications for Insomnia

Sleep aid medication ads for Insomnia are seen and heard repetitively on television and radio ads. There are many people that suffer from at least one of the three Insomnia disorders at one point in their life. Insomnia can onset from stress or personal issues causing difficulty in sleep. For most people that suffer from Transient Insomnia which only lasts at the most a few nights, sleep aid medications are normally not needed. The other two forms of Insomnia are Intermittent (occasional) and Chronic Insomnia (extended period of time). Chronic Insomnia can last more than a few days a week and can last for more than a month. People with Chronic Insomnia may find that sleep aid medications are suggested to prevent sleep deprivation but it’s not a cure for Insomnia and should be closely monitored by a physician.
