Cures for Night Sweats

When people think of night sweats they normally think of a women going through the change, that awful menopause word. There are a number of other reasons any person, man or woman, may have night sweats. Before we can talk about cures for night sweats it has to be determined what the cause is and what the main symptoms are. Clearly there will be sweat but that is just stating the obvious. Excessive sweating where you wake up and your drenched in bed is very common, also hot flashes where you all off a sudden feel as if you are burning up from the inside out. Other causes may be Neurological conditions, infections, medications and cancers are a few of the other reasons you may be experiencing night sweats.

Something easy that can be done is to make sure your bedroom is cooler than normal and if it is tolerable open a window and let the fresh cool air in. Avoiding alcohol and caffeine before going to bed is strongly suggested. Consuming alcoholic beverages will cause sweating for any normal individual. Drinking plenty of water and eating a healthy diet with fiber, fruits and veggies will keep your body regulated and hydrated which may lessen or discontinue sweating at night. If you still have problems and can’t figure out why your having night sweats see a physician, it is possible any of the medications your on may be the cause.
