Adult Bed Wetting
Bedwetting is normally an issue that a parent deals with during the potty training stage. The easy remedy in this case is bedwetting diapers that can be found at any grocery or department store. This is all completely normal but there are other cases when someone may continue bedwetting well into adulthood.
With adult bedwetting there may be physical or physiological conditions which is normally linked with another disorder. One of the physical conditions is a smaller bladder; in this case the bladder is not actually smaller it only holds a smaller capacity of urine before the muscles in the bladder trigger urination. The smaller bladder is normally associated with growing children but can be found in some adults as well. A more serious condition that a lot of times is associated with bedwetting is diabetes. A diabetic has higher levels of sugar in the body; the body will react by increasing urine output to get rid of the sugar. Diabetics urinate a lot more frequently than the average person.
Psychological and Neurological conditions may consist of past traumas, stress, anxiety and heavy sleepers. These conditions need to be evaluated by a physician in order to know what will work for the individual. There are adult bed wetting medications and treatments available through a doctor.
